On December 14th 2011 at the annual Portland Altrusa Christmas party, President Kim Keaney presents Project FEED's board chairman Jim Perley and Vice Chairman Elena Schmidt with the proceeds from our annual Empty Bowl fundraiser, which took place on October 15th 2011 a check for $1,050 representing the total proceeds from the dinner. | Bowls made by Portland Altrusans |  |

ABC Literacy-Reading to kindergartners
The Book Bash with Borders Bookstore- Distributing books to the community
Empty Bowl-Project FEED- Serving soup to feed the hungry
Portland Public Schools Food Service Dinner at Lincoln Program- Distributing books at a supper program
PROP’s Summer Lunch Program- Book distribution in 18 locations
Books to the Sudan- Packaging and mailing boxes containing 728 books to Juba, South Sudan Library
Scholarships - $$$ - Providing college and back-to-work grants
